Welcome to Von Jagielo Rottweilers, located in Houghton Lake, Michigan, just a short drive from the Detroit metropolitan area. We are Randy and Jeri Jagielo, and we have been dedicated to the Rottweiler breed for more than 20 years.

Our journey began with a Rottweiler adopted from a local animal shelter. That remarkable dog introduced us to the breed’s unwavering loyalty, intelligence, and versatility, and from that moment we knew Rottweilers would always be a part of our lives. Today, our passion is focused on preserving and producing exceptional Rottweilers with outstanding temperament, sound structure, and proven European bloodlines.

The foundation of our breeding program consists of carefully selected dogs that have either been imported directly from Europe or are American-born from imported European parents. Many of our dogs carry full ADRK (German) pedigrees from respected kennels throughout Germany, allowing us to maintain the breed’s traditional working ability, correct structure, and breed type.

The health and longevity of the breed are among our highest priorities. All of our breeding males and females have certified hips and elbows, primarily through the ADRK, with some evaluations completed by OFA or FCI-recognized veterinarians. We also utilize additional health screening through organizations such as OFA, Embark, and UC Davis to help ensure we are making responsible breeding decisions.

Our adult Rottweilers are maintained with natural, full tails. Depending on the preferences of puppy buyers and the specific litter, some puppies may have their tails docked where legally permitted.

Von Jagielo Rottweilers is proud to be a member of the United Rottweiler Klub of America (URKA), the Rottweiler Klub of Michigan (RKM), and the Grand Traverse Kennel Club. We have successfully exhibited our dogs in UKC events and now primarily participate in German-style Sieger shows, where our dogs are evaluated by respected German and European judges. Several of our Rottweilers have also earned AKC titles.

We believe Sieger shows are an excellent venue for evaluating breeding stock while providing invaluable socialization and experience for young puppies. They also offer an opportunity for our adult dogs to demonstrate the correct temperament, structure, movement, and breed type that define the Rottweiler as envisioned by the original German standard.
